Keith A. Campbell Memorial Library

Keith A. Campbell Memorial Library strives to provide services and materials in a variety of formats to support mission critical information, education, and recreational needs of the JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Community. Stop by the library and find materials for every age and interest.

The facility features a general book collection, ebooks and games, a small conference area for study groups and meetings, computers with CAC readers, printer, scanner and fax services, a snack area, and a 24 hour return drop-box.

Our Collection

The Keith A. Campbell Memorial Library collection includes books for children and teens, best sellers, study guides, newspapers and magazines, comic books and manga, books on CDs, music CDs, DVD movies, and video games. If we don't have the book you are looking for we can order it for you from other libraries.

Check It Out

Set up an account with your military ID card or CAC. Eligible borrowers without an ID card will be issued a library card.

Holds

Materials can be placed on hold and you will be notified when it is returned. Movies and music CD's cannot be placed on hold.

Loans
Books may be checked out up to 3 weeks at a time. Popular DVDs may be checked out for 1 week at a time.

Renewals
Loans may be extended unless a previous reserve has been placed. To renew an item, call on or before the due date.

InterLibrary Loan
Interlibrary loans can be requested at the Information/Circulation desk. These items are borrowed from other libraries and can usually be used for 2 weeks once they have been received. Interlibrary loans are limited to materials for education or mission support.

OverDrive
OverDrive is a Library Digital Media Program that allows you to download ebooks and audio books. Contact the library to register for an account and sign up online.

Education & Testing

From preschool to college, the library provides academic resources and educational materials.
Study guides: ASVAB, SAT, ACT, Civil Service, DANTES, EMT, GRE, NCLEX-RN & USPS

Tutor.com offers online homework, tutoring and career services provided by the Department of Defense. Work with a certified, professional tutor or career specialist online 24/7 to get help with homework, studying, test preparation, resume writing and more.

Fun at the Library

StoryTime
The Keith A. Campbell Memorial Library invites you and your toddler/preschooler to story time. The library offers an educational, fun, themed story time with frequent special guest readers and engaging arts and crafts. Join us each Thursday at 10am as we discover new heights in learning. FCC, home schoolers are also invited to attend.

Game Day

The library isn't just for books anymore! Gamers of all ages are invited to Game Time at the Library on the 1st Sunday of the month from 2:30-5:30pm. Gaming consoles available: Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360. A variety of board games and puzzles are also available. Young or old join the fun!

Summer Reading Program
The Library participates in the annual DoD iREAD Summer Reading Program, children and adults are encouraged to sign up and participate. All books on or above the child's reading level from any library or personal collection count, children and adults must keep track of the hours they read. Each year iREAD chooses a new theme and each week there is a fun activity to go along the theme. Reading logs are turned in for prizes at the end of the program.
